Daily Note

Hello! 

  1. We will review our class rules
     
  2. We will briefly review what we've learned about computer organization so far. We are almost done with the first section!!
  3. We will review persistent storage
  4. We will review registers in the CPU
  5. We will review the control unit
     
  6. Here we will stop for your questions. You will also be reminded about our class discussion board
     
  7. We are going to take one of many reviews of the machine instruction cycle
     
  8. We then start to learn how this incredibly complex process is managed via the operating system
     

 

Our Big idea

The big idea for today is Computer organization.

The essential questions for this topic are:

How does a computer actually work? You know, like, really?
