Daily Note

Hello class

Today is important because you will be working on your IA's, independently.  This has traditionally been a time when students atrat to lose focus and they don't complete their work.

I need to understand what you specifically intend to work on, and then I need to see evidence of what you got done.  Please use this form.

Please now:

  1. take your success criteria from section A and put them in your section B test plan
  2. take your success criteria from section A and put them in your evaluation table in part E
  3. Please update your ROT with your latest work
  4. Please use lucid chart to create an overview of how your system will work.
    1. Your diagram should be labled like this:
      1. Diagram 1: system overview
      2. Diagram 2: system overview
      3. etc...
  5. Remember with system diagrams, we generally start from a broad overview and get more specific.

I expect to see at least 5 diagrams by the end of class today. You can make a sketchup of your userinterface (using lucid charts) or a system flow chart showing a specific part of your program, or if you have a database, an ERD document.

This is kind of an important time (and an exciting time) because you get to really think about how your program is going to work!

Our Big idea

The big idea for today is Computational thinking.

The essential questions for this topic are:

How do we think about problems in a way which makes them solvable for a computer?

It takes time to explore and really understand a big idea. If you want to
learn more about computational thinking (which is connected to today's daily note), please click here .

We are learning this because as a designers must understand scientific and technical innovation. Designers use systems, models, methods, and processes to solve problems.

Reminders & routines:

Please read and follow these reminders:

  1. IF today ==  testing_day_for_me:
         remember to go get tested!

  2. IF today == Friday:
